KB3GUN's FJ Cruiser

Welcome to my 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser site. I purchased my FJC on July 14th, 2006 and took delivery on July 19th. I can’t say enough good things about Justin Ostrich and the folks at Laurel Toyota in Johnstown, PA. Thanks Guys!

UPDATE 2/05/2009
Don’t purchase from Laurel Toyota of Johnstown, PA. If you ever take your FJC offroad, they WILL NOT honor the factory warranty.

Broken ring gear, rear axle. They called it abuse. They stated diff was full of water. I have an oil analysis that says otherwise. This vehicle is 2.5 years old with under 18,000 miles.
I haven’t wheeled in over 6 months (I’m building an FJ40 to wheel) but that doesn’t matter to them. I will never step foot in Laurel Toyota of Johnstown (Also known as Laurel Group.) again. To my friends out there, Greensburg Toyota is a much better outfit and well worth the drive. If you are a Laurel Toyota of Johnstown customer, you have my sincere condolences.

Wow, it’s just over a year now and what a ride! My FJC now sports a 3” lifted All-Pro Remote Reservoir suspension (Walker Evans) system, (33”) 285x70x17 Hankook DynaPro MT on the stock alloy rims, a BudBuilt skidplate (from the bumper to tbehing the xfer case, TrailGear sliders, and a bunch of smaller mods.
I got a chance to run Paragon AP a few times before it closed earlier this year and my new home away from home is Rausch Creek AP. I week with a great group of cruiser-heads, the Appalachian Land Cruiser Association, where our moto is “4_low is our Happy Place”. I’ve been to Rausch 5 times this year (only a 180 mile drive). Met a lot of great folks on the trail and even met the TrailTeam at CMCC.

Till next time! - Smitty
