My amateur (ham) radio call is KB3GUN. I was licensed in June 2001 as a Technician Class. I upgraded to General Class a year later. I am currently studying to upgrade to Extra Class.
My hamshack is my vehicle. It was mounted in my 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee (ZJ) 5.9 Limited. As the Jeep continued to let me down mechanically, I’ve upgraded to the FJ Cruiser.
Current communications setup is an Icom IC-706MKIIG for HF work and an Icom IC-2720 for VHF/UHF. I have a 2m/440 antenna mounted and Little Tarheel II with a TurboTuner automatic tuner.
